It’s difficult for us, to know how to tackle this topic. It’s the much talked about, anticipated and celebrated event this country has seen for some time. The closing ceremony, (and what a spectacle it was) on Sunday 12 August, may have marked the end of the games, but technically, they’re not. The turn of the disabled athletes has come, and it was just as awe-inspiring as the first time round, if not more so.

This time round, the success of ticket sales, and those wanting to be part of the next round of the summer games. We’re all quite in awe of their achievements, and are interested in seeing the action for ourselves. The positivity that is circling this event is wonderful, greater than any previous games with the disabled athletes.

Their talent and ability is certaining inspiring, that it gives us all something to think about. We all like a moan, complaining when something can’t be done, or isn’t quite within our reach. Considering the hard work, determination and capability of these athletes, we really should be alter our behaviour and our outlook on life.

There’s so much that we can do, if we put our mind to it. As a nation, and as human beings, we have the tendency to be negative about what we can achieve, seeing everything with a pessimistic view. You can do anything you want to do, it just takes determination and guts to achieve, unless you’re lucky enough to have things fall into your lap.
