Firecracker Festivities Nov. 4, 2011, 11:34 a.m.

It’s that time of year. The time of year when bonfires are lit and the sky is filled with fireworks in celebration of the event named Guy Fawkes Night. Remember, remember the 5th of November? Officially the celebrations are set for tomorrow, however locations across the land will begin their festivities this evening through till Sunday. This yearly event is the day and night dedicated to the events of 5th November 1605. Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder plot was arrested whilst in possession of a hoard of explosives beneath the House of Lords. The attempt to blow up parliament and kill King James I was unsuccessful and to mark his survival people lit bonfires around London in commemoration. Ever since, this day has been marked as an annual public day, signifying the gunpowder and treason plot failure. Throughout the years, the day has become more synonymous with Guy Fawkes and is officially referred to as Guy Fawkes Night and in other occasions Bonfire Night. Some consider this tradition to be anti-catholic, violent and raucous. At various points throughout history, scenes have escalated and bought shame to the commemoration, shrouding it in violence and hatred, lacking its original focus. Documentation of people celebrating around a bonfire with burning effigies of popular hate-figures was discouraged, as well as was the use of Guy Fawkes dummies for begging purposes.

Today, Guy Fawkes night is celebrated under large organised events that centre around big bonfires and extravagant firework displays. Professional bonfire events will be appearing all throughout the Capital and country this weekend. If you are looking to commemorate the occasion of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, then head to your nearest event. Held in parks and wide open spaces, by firework officials, there is sure to be somewhere close to you. Find your nearest firework display and witness the magical and hypnotising display with a London female escorts. Enjoy an extravagant display of loud yet beautiful fireworks such as Catherine Wheels, Roman Candles, Mount Vesuvius and Golden Shower. Illuminating the night sky with bursts of red, orange, green, blue and purple flashes of colour.

Fireworks can create a romantic ambiance and with a female escorts as your companion it will feel completely magical. The cold evening air may be chilling, but wrapped up in a warm scarf, hat and gloves and an arm around each other will keep you warm.
