High Holborn, Central London is a road in Holborn, adjoining to Tottenham Court road. It is accessible by its nearest stations, Tottenham Court road, Chancery Lane and Holborn on the Circle line of the London Underground. Situated in the London borough of Camden, you’d be under the impression that there would be plenty to do in the area. The area is vast, with many of the neighbouring spots within walking distance offering you a range of options. The road itself is privy to many establishments that are worth frequenting.

Depending what you have in mind, there are pubs, bars and eateries a plenty. There are even some clothes, shoes [etc] stores, if you fancy some retail therapy. However, there is a certain spot that we would recommend you visit. Perhaps because of its name, or because it is owned by the brilliant brewer, Samuel Smith. Princess Louise is situated on the end of High Holborn, closest to Charing Cross road. This pub, supplied by the Yorkshire brewer previously mentioned, warrants a visit. Why? Because the quality of the beer, cider and ale alone should be more than a good enough reason!

Plus, having been restored back to its original Victorian layout, there is a welcoming exterior that awaits you. We believe that restoration is always better than restoration, loving vintage and tradition over modern and a complete white washout. Regarding character over high finish and quality any day. This is not to say that the Princess Louise, is old and haggard. Not at all. The pub boasts an ageless classic and antique feel that is oh so popular and should be respected and revered by drinking in such an establishment.

This flagship London pub for Samuel Smith brewery has been fortunate to receive a great deal of care and attention. The detailed etched partitions with their stained glass windows, combined with the glorious high ceilings, this truly is an impressive venue. They’ve come up trumps here in High Holborn for the Princess Louise, but Samuel Smith do so all over London. There isn’t an interior of one of their pubs that doesn’t contain character and tradition.

Head to the Princess Louise with an escort London has to offer and sup on some good quality beverages. Spending an afternoon or evening here will be an experience that will be both advantageous for any date, as well as friendly to your pocket. Prices here are quite reasonable.

Step aside gastro-pubs and nonsense fancy-schmancy places, these are the kind of places that put shame on what it is to be a real PUB!
